Using high-precision infrared technology, LapWiz accurately records lap times while providing real-time rankings, driver profiles, session history, performance analysis, and race-management features through the SkyRC mobile app.

The included T01 standard transponder mounts inside your RC vehicle and connects to a standard receiver port for power. Each time the vehicle passes the timing decoder, the system records the lap and displays the results on your connected smartphone. The decoder features Bluetooth connectivity and can operate in standalone mode without an internet connection. Cloud features are also available for backing up records, sharing results, and managing racing events.

LapWiz supports Practice, Qualifying, Race, Free Run, and Shadow Run modes. Shadow Run allows drivers to compete against a previous best lap or saved session, making it easier to evaluate setup changes, improve consistency, and lower lap times. The included adjustable tripod and magnetic sun visor help provide reliable placement and detection for indoor or outdoor tracks.

Features:

Smart infrared RC lap-timing and race-management system

Includes one T01 standard vehicle transponder

Accurate real-time lap counting and race results

Approximately 3–10 meter infrared detection range

Transponder sends a timing signal approximately every 15 milliseconds

Bluetooth connection to the SkyRC mobile app

Works in standalone mode without Wi-Fi or cloud access

Cloud backup and race-record synchronization available

Real-time rankings and multi-car ID management

Driver and vehicle profiles

Practice, Qualifying, Race, Free Run, and Shadow Run modes

Shadow Run compares current performance against a previous best lap or saved session

Lap-history, best-lap, average-lap, and performance-analysis tools

Multi-language voice announcements

QR-code race joining for organized events

Race-result and session sharing

Wireless screen casting to compatible televisions

High-visibility status and lap-detection LEDs

Magnetic sun visor helps reduce direct sunlight interference

Adjustable aluminum tripod for positioning the timing decoder

OTA firmware updates through the app

Decoder provides up to approximately 300 hours of operation with two AA batteries, depending on battery type and usage conditions

Includes:

LapWiz IR timing decoder
T01 Standard Transponder (JR/Futaba plug, 3-15V input, 7g)
Aluminum tripod stand
Magnetic sun visor for outdoor use

Fitment:

Designed for RC cars and trucks equipped with a receiver or power source using a standard JR/Futaba-style connection.

The included T01 transponder operates from 3–15V DC and is suitable for personal tracks, club racing, indoor tracks, and outdoor tracks.

For Kyosho Mini-Z vehicles using an ICS connection, the optional T03 Mini-Z transponder is required and sold separately.

Specifications:

Product: LapWiz Smart RC Lap Timing System

Timing decoder model: RT004

Decoder dimensions: 55 × 26 × 65mm

Decoder weight: Approximately 45g

Decoder power supply: Two AA batteries

Communication: Bluetooth

Transponder connector: JR/Futaba

Transponder input voltage: 3–15V DC

Infrared transmission distance: Approximately 3–10 meters

Transponder controller dimensions: 20 × 17 × 7mm

Controller cable length: 245mm

LED cable length: 180mm

Transponder weight: Approximately 7g

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0760/7238/6856/files/s-l1600_cb242145-883d-4eb8-8ea7-d85ee2291e91.webp?v=1791386626
https://islandhobbynut.com/products/skyrc-lapwiz-smart-rc-lap-timing-system-lapcounter-combo-set-with-transponder
