Kyosho IH14 Shock Set Mini Inferno

This is the standard shock set for the Kyosho Mini Inferno, the shocks fitted to the car as it comes from the factory.

Shocks are what keep the tires in contact with the ground. As the suspension moves over bumps and through corners, the shock controls how fast it compresses and how fast it returns, and that control is what stops the chassis oscillating after every input. A car with worn or damaged shocks skips across rough ground and lands unpredictably off jumps, because the suspension is no longer settling between impacts.

They are also among the most exposed parts on the car. Shock bodies get cracked in crashes, shafts bend, and seals wear until the shock no longer holds oil, and any of those means it has stopped doing its job even if it still looks intact.

This is the genuine Kyosho set at original specification, so fitting it returns the car to its factory baseline. That matters when you are chasing a handling problem, because you want a known starting point. Kyosho also offers an aluminum oil damper set as an upgrade over this part.
