Kyosho SX052 Receiver Box Set Scorpion XXL

This is the receiver box set for the Kyosho Scorpion XXL.

The receiver box is a sealed enclosure that houses the radio receiver and keeps water, dust and dirt away from it. On a car with an exposed tube cage rather than an enclosed body, that protection is not optional. There is no shell keeping spray off the electronics, so the box is the only thing between your receiver and whatever the tires throw up.

Water is the obvious risk, but dust matters just as much over time. Fine grit works into connectors and causes intermittent faults that are extremely difficult to diagnose, because they come and go with vibration rather than failing outright.

The box also has to seal properly to do its job, which means a cracked lid or a perished gasket is worth replacing rather than taping over. This is supplied as a complete set, so it rebuilds the enclosure rather than patching one component. It fits the 1/7 scale Scorpion XXL.
