Traxxas 6542X Flywheel Large Knurled

Large knurled flywheel for use with starter boxes.

The knurled outer surface is what a starter box wheel grips against. A standard flywheel gives the roller very little to bite on, so it slips instead of spinning the engine over — particularly on a cold, tight engine that needs the most cranking effort. This flywheel gives the roller proper purchase and makes bump-starting reliable rather than a wrestling match.

Fits: Traxxas T-Maxx 3.3 (49077-3) with TRX racing engines.

Intended for starter box use rather than the onboard recoil starter.
