Kyosho IF421 Front Hub Carrier Inferno MP9

This is the front hub carrier for Kyosho's Inferno MP9 and MP10 platforms.

The hub carrier is the part that connects the front suspension arms to the steering knuckle, and it is where caster is set on the car. Caster is the fore and aft lean of the steering axis, and it has a large effect on how the buggy behaves: more caster gives you stronger straight-line stability and more steering as the car rolls into a corner, less caster gives quicker initial turn-in but a twitchier car. Kyosho supplies carriers in different caster values, so the one you fit is a genuine setup decision.

Structurally it takes everything the front wheel receives. Hard impacts with pipes and kerbs load it directly, and a cracked carrier changes caster on that side only, which makes the car pull and turn differently left versus right.

This is the genuine Kyosho part with factory geometry. Fitment is the widest of the MP9 hub parts, covering MP9 and MP9 TKI through TKI4, MP9e and MP9e Evo., MP10, MP10 TKI2 and TKI3, MP10e, the MP10T and MP10Te truggies, and Inferno GT3.
