Powerhobby V8 Engine Motor Heatsinks & Cooling Fan FOR TRX-4 / SCX10 BLUE
Description
Add functional motor cooling and a realistic custom appearance to your 1/10-scale crawler with the PowerHobby V8 Engine-Style Motor Heatsink and Cooling Fan. Designed for compatible vehicles using a forward-mounted 36mm motor, this cooling system surrounds the motor with a detailed V8 engine-style cover while directing additional airflow across the motor area.
The built-in high-speed fan helps reduce heat buildup during extended trail runs, rock crawling, slow-speed driving, and other conditions where limited airflow inside the body can cause motor temperatures to rise. Improved airflow may help the motor maintain more consistent performance during long driving sessions.
The combination of aluminum, nylon, and fiber-reinforced materials provides a balance of durability, lightweight construction, and realistic scale detail. Its blue finish adds a clean custom appearance beneath the body and makes the motor area resemble a miniature V8 engine installation.
Designed for compatible Traxxas TRX-4 and Axial SCX10 platforms, this system can also be used with other 1/10-scale RC vehicles equipped with a forward-mounted 36mm cylindrical motor and sufficient installation clearance.

- Traxxas TRX-4
- Axial SCX10 II
- Axial SCX10 III
- Other compatible 1/10-scale RC crawlers using a forward-mounted 36mm motor
Fitment is determined by motor diameter, motor position, chassis layout, body clearance, and the location of surrounding electronics. This system requires a forward-mounted motor and may not fit vehicles with a center-mounted or rear-mounted motor configuration.
Modified vehicles, aftermarket transmissions, relocated electronics, oversized motors, custom inner fenders, and nonstandard chassis layouts may affect installation. Measure the motor and available space carefully before ordering.
Installation Notes
Disconnect the vehicle battery before beginning installation. Confirm that the motor measures approximately 36mm in outside diameter and is positioned toward the front of the chassis.
Position the heatsink assembly around the motor and verify that the fan, engine-style cover, and wiring do not contact the transmission, driveshafts, suspension links, servo, body, or other moving components.
Route the fan wire away from the pinion gear, spur gear, motor shaft, driveshafts, and suspension parts. Secure loose wiring with cable ties or clips before operating the vehicle.
Connect the fan only to a compatible regulated power source between 5V and 8.5V. Verify the connector type, polarity, voltage, and available current before applying power. Do not connect the fan directly to a power source exceeding 8.5V.
