Kyosho IF502 Torque Rod Set Inferno VE

This is the torque rod set for Kyosho's Inferno VE, bracing the front and rear of the chassis.

Torque rods tie the bulkheads to the chassis and control how much the car twists under load. That torsional stiffness is a genuine setup variable rather than just a durability question. A stiffer chassis transmits steering and throttle inputs more directly and holds its geometry where you set it, which gives sharper, more predictable response on high-grip surfaces. A more flexible chassis absorbs more and can find traction on rough or low-bite tracks where a rigid car skates across the surface.

They also take real structural load, and a bent or cracked rod quietly changes how the chassis flexes before it ever visibly fails.

Kyosho redesigned this for the VE generation, replacing the older arrangement of separate ball ends and rods with a set that controls flex more predictably. It is supplied as a complete set covering both ends of the car. Fitment covers the Inferno VE and Inferno NEO range, with dealers adding the Inferno GT2 and Psycho Kruiser.
