Kyosho SIL0300-8 Silicone Shock Oil #300 80cc

Kyosho SIL0300-8 is a #300 weight silicone shock oil in an 80cc bottle. It is the fluid inside the shock body, and the resistance it puts up as the piston pushes through it is what damping actually is.

#300 is a light weight. It lets the suspension move quickly and stay in contact with rough or slippery ground, which is why light oils tend to come out on cold days, on low-grip surfaces, and on smaller-scale cars that do not have the mass to work a heavy oil. On a big-jump track it will feel under-damped.

It is also a common front weight paired with something heavier at the rear. Having the light end of the range on the bench is what lets you soften a car up without touching springs. The 80cc bottle is Kyosho's larger size.
