Powerhobby 1/10 Aluminum HeatSink (Motor Mount) w/Twin Turbo High-Speed 30mm Cooling Fans
Description
Help keep your 1/10-scale RC motor running cooler with the PowerHobby Aluminum Motor Heatsink Mount and Twin High-Speed Cooling Fan System. Designed for cylindrical motors measuring approximately 36–38mm in diameter, this cooling upgrade combines a durable aluminum motor mount with two powerful 30mm fans.
The twin-fan configuration directs increased airflow across the motor can to help reduce heat buildup during long runs, racing, drifting, off-road bashing, speed runs, and other demanding driving conditions. Controlling excessive motor heat can help maintain more consistent performance and reduce the possibility of heat-related power loss or thermal shutdown.
The aluminum mount fits around the motor can and helps transfer heat away from the motor. Two aluminum fan covers protect the fan blades from accidental contact and light debris while giving the cooling system a clean, upgraded appearance.
Both fans connect through the included JST Y-splitter and receiver-style connector. The complete cooling system can plug into a compatible open receiver channel, external BEC, or regulated auxiliary power source operating between 6V and 8.4V.

Fitment
This is a universal-fit motor cooling system designed for many 1/10-scale RC vehicles equipped with a cylindrical motor measuring approximately 36–38mm in outside diameter.
Potential applications include:
- 1/10-scale touring cars
- 1/10-scale drift cars
- 1/10-scale buggies
- 1/10-scale stadium trucks
- 1/10-scale short-course trucks
- 1/10-scale monster trucks
- 1/10-scale on-road cars
- Custom brushed or brushless RC builds
Fitment is determined primarily by the motor’s outside diameter and the available clearance inside the chassis. Before ordering, measure the motor can and confirm that the vehicle has enough room for the aluminum heatsink, both 30mm fans, fan covers, wiring, and surrounding electronics.
This is not a vehicle-specific part. Some installations may require repositioning electronics, adjusting wire routing, or removing an existing motor cover to provide enough clearance.
Installation Notes
Install the aluminum heatsink around a clean and unobstructed section of the motor can. Make sure the mount sits securely and does not interfere with the motor wires, sensor cable, motor shaft, or nearby drivetrain components.
Position both fans where they have access to open airflow. Avoid placing the fans directly against the vehicle body, battery tray, ESC, or other components that may restrict airflow.
Route and secure the wiring away from the pinion gear, spur gear, driveshafts, suspension components, and other moving parts. Connect the receiver-style plug to a compatible receiver channel, external BEC, or regulated power source supplying between 6V and 8.4V.
Verify the connector polarity and available current before applying power. Do not connect the fans to a power source exceeding 8.4V.
