Powerhobby 1/10 Aluminum HeatSink (Motor Mount) w/Twin Turbo High-Speed 30mm Cooling Fans

Description

Help control motor temperatures in your 1/10-scale RC vehicle with the PowerHobby Aluminum Motor Heatsink and Twin High-Speed Cooling Fan System. Designed for cylindrical motors measuring approximately 36–38mm in diameter, this cooling upgrade combines a durable aluminum motor mount with two powerful 30mm fans.

The dual-fan arrangement provides strong airflow across the motor can, helping remove heat during extended runs and demanding driving conditions. It is an excellent upgrade for racing, drifting, speed runs, off-road bashing, and other applications where the motor is placed under a heavy load.

The aluminum heatsink wraps around the motor can to help transfer heat away from the motor, while both high-speed fans continuously direct cooling air across the heatsink and motor surface. The two aluminum fan covers help protect the fan blades from debris and accidental contact.

Both fans connect through the included JST Y-splitter, allowing the complete cooling system to plug into one compatible receiver channel, external BEC, or regulated auxiliary power source. The gunmetal aluminum finish provides a clean, performance-oriented appearance that complements many RC chassis and electronics setups.

Features

  • Twin high-speed cooling fans for 1/10-scale RC motors
  • Designed for cylindrical motors measuring approximately 36–38mm in diameter
  • Two 30mm fans provide increased airflow over the motor and heatsink
  • Fans operate at approximately 28,000 RPM when supplied with 8.4V
  • Helps quickly reduce heat buildup around the motor can
  • Aluminum motor mount also functions as a heatsink
  • Dual-fan design provides more cooling airflow than a typical single-fan setup
  • Aluminum fan covers help protect the blades from debris and accidental contact
  • Includes a JST Y-splitter to combine both fans into one power connection
  • Receiver-style connector plugs into a compatible receiver channel or BEC
  • Approximately 15 inches of total wire length provides flexible routing
  • Suitable for many brushed and brushless motors within the correct diameter range
  • Operates from a compatible 6V to 8.4V power source
  • Ideal for racing, drifting, speed runs, bashing, and general high-performance use
  • Gunmetal finish adds a clean, upgraded appearance

Fitment

This is a universal-fit motor cooling system designed for many 1/10-scale RC vehicles equipped with a cylindrical motor measuring approximately 36–38mm in outside diameter.

Potential applications include:

  • 1/10-scale touring cars
  • 1/10-scale drift cars
  • 1/10-scale buggies
  • 1/10-scale stadium trucks
  • 1/10-scale short-course trucks
  • 1/10-scale monster trucks
  • 1/10-scale on-road vehicles
  • Custom brushed or brushless RC builds

Fitment is determined primarily by the outside diameter of the motor and the available space around the motor. Before ordering, measure the motor can and confirm that the vehicle has enough clearance for the aluminum heatsink, both 30mm fans, fan covers, wiring, and mounting hardware.

This is not a vehicle-specific part. Some chassis layouts may require repositioning electronics, adjusting wire routing, or removing an existing motor cover to provide enough installation space.

Installation Notes

Install the aluminum heatsink around a clean and unobstructed section of the motor can. Tighten the mounting hardware evenly so the heatsink remains secure, but avoid overtightening the clamp against the motor housing.

Position the fans where they have access to open airflow and are not blocked by the body, battery tray, ESC, or other electronics. Keep the fan blades and wires away from the motor shaft, pinion gear, spur gear, driveshafts, suspension components, and other moving parts.

Connect the receiver-style plug to a compatible receiver channel, external BEC, or regulated power source supplying between 6V and 8.4V. Confirm the connector polarity and available current before applying power. Do not connect the fans to a power source exceeding 8.4V.
