Description

The PowerHobby 2S 5000mAh Shorty Hardcase LiPo batteries are designed for competitive RC racers who need dependable runtime, strong acceleration, and a compact battery configuration. Both versions combine a 5000mAh capacity with a durable hard-plastic case that helps protect the internal cells from impacts, vibration, dirt, and debris during on-road and off-road use.

The shorty configuration allows the battery to be moved forward or backward within compatible battery trays, helping racers adjust vehicle weight distribution, steering response, rear traction, and overall handling. These batteries are suitable for compatible racing buggies, stadium trucks, short-course trucks, touring cars, drift cars, oval cars, and other vehicles designed to accept a shorty-style 2S hardcase battery.

The PHB2S5000100CDNS is a standard 7.4V LiPo battery with a 100C continuous discharge rating and a listed 200C burst rating. Its taller 25mm hardcase provides a 5000mAh capacity while maintaining a compact shorty footprint. It uses recessed 4mm female bullet terminals for the positive and negative connections and a separate 2mm terminal for balancing.

The PHB2S5000130CDNS is a lower-profile HV Graphene version with a 7.6V nominal voltage, 130C continuous discharge rating, and 260C burst rating. Its 18.5mm height lowers battery weight within the chassis, which can help improve stability and cornering in compatible racing vehicles. It features recessed 5mm female bullet power terminals, a separate 2mm balance terminal, and listed Deans-style and JST-XH connections.

The 130C version is an HV LiPo battery and requires a charger that supports the correct LiHV charging mode when charging above the standard 8.4V LiPo level. Always confirm the battery voltage, dimensions, terminal size, connector arrangement, polarity, and vehicle battery-tray requirements before installation.

Both batteries include a six-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the original purchase date. The warranty does not cover damage caused by crashes, hard landings, improper mounting, physical deformation, overcharging, deep discharging, or excessive discharge current.
