Description

The PowerHobby 40mm Tornado High-Speed Cooling Fan is designed to provide increased airflow for demanding RC motor and ESC cooling applications.

Its full T6 aluminum case helps direct airflow through the fan while protecting the fan blades from accidental contact. When mounted against a compatible motor mount or ESC heatsink, the aluminum housing also provides additional surface area to help dissipate heat.

The compact 40 × 40 × 10mm design is suitable for a wide range of RC vehicles, including compatible 1/12, 1/10, 1/8, and 1/5-scale applications.

Verify the available mounting space, hole spacing, voltage output, current capacity, connector compatibility, wire routing, and clearance before purchasing.

Installation Note

Install the fan on a compatible motor mount, ESC heatsink, or cooling-fan bracket. Make sure the mounting hardware is secure and that the fan cannot move during operation.

Keep the fan blades, housing, and wiring away from pinion gears, spur gears, motor shafts, driveshafts, suspension components, and other moving parts.

Power the fan from a compatible regulated source operating between 5V and 8.5V. Make sure the power source can provide at least 0.65A of current. Confirm connector polarity before applying power and do not exceed the listed 8.5V operating voltage.
