Kyosho PZ004C Suspension Arm Set Plazma

This is the suspension arm set for Kyosho's Plazma range.

The suspension arms are the main structural link between the chassis and the wheels. They carry every cornering, braking and impact load the car generates, and their geometry sets the roll centre and how camber changes through the suspension's travel. That makes them a functional part rather than just a mount.

They are also the most commonly broken component on any car driven hard, because they are the first thing to take the load in a wheel-first impact. That is partly by design: an arm is cheaper and quicker to replace than the chassis or bulkhead it protects. On a lightweight pan car in particular, an arm will give before anything more expensive does.

Even when an arm survives an impact it can be left slightly bent or stressed, and a distorted arm changes geometry on that corner only, so the car behaves differently through left and right turns in a way that is easy to misread as setup.
