Powerhobby 5010 50MM High Speed ESC / Motor Cooling Red
Description
Help keep your RC vehicle’s motor or electronic speed controller operating at a more controlled temperature with the PowerHobby 5010 50mm High-Speed Cooling Fan. Designed for demanding RC applications, this powerful fan provides increased airflow to help remove heat generated during long runs, racing, aggressive acceleration, speed runs, crawling, and off-road bashing.
Excessive heat can reduce performance and place additional stress on motors and electronic speed controllers. Installing a dedicated cooling fan can help improve airflow around these components, maintain more consistent operation, and reduce the possibility of heat-related power loss or thermal shutdown.
The fan operates from 5V to 8.4V and can be connected to a compatible receiver channel, ESC fan port, external BEC, or other properly regulated auxiliary power source. Its 280mm wire provides plenty of length for routing through larger RC chassis, while reverse-polarity protection offers added protection if the connection is accidentally reversed.
The red finish adds a clean, performance-oriented appearance to custom motor and ESC cooling installations.

Fitment
This is a universal-fit cooling fan designed for RC vehicles with enough installation space, a compatible 40mm mounting-hole pattern, and a suitable regulated power connection.
Common applications may include:
- 1/10-scale RC cars and trucks
- 1/8-scale buggies and truggies
- 1/8-scale monster trucks
- 1/7-scale speed-run vehicles
- Large-scale electric RC vehicles
- Brushless motor cooling systems
- Electronic speed controller cooling systems
- Custom RC electronics installations
Fitment depends on the available mounting space, mounting-hole arrangement, connector type, and power source. Before ordering, measure the intended installation area and confirm that the fan will fit without contacting the body, battery, motor wires, drivetrain, suspension, or surrounding electronics.
Also verify that the vehicle has a compatible regulated power source between 5V and 8.4V capable of supplying approximately 0.7A.
Installation Notes
Disconnect the vehicle battery before installing or servicing the cooling fan. Secure the fan to a compatible motor mount, ESC bracket, heatsink, or custom mounting location using suitable hardware.
Position the fan so airflow is directed toward the motor, ESC, or electronic component that requires cooling. Make sure the intake and exhaust sides of the fan are not blocked by the body, battery tray, wiring, or other electronics.
Route the 280mm wire away from the motor shaft, pinion gear, spur gear, driveshafts, suspension components, and other moving parts. Secure loose wiring with cable ties or clips before operating the vehicle.
Connect the fan only to a compatible regulated power source between 5V and 8.4V. Verify the connector type, polarity, voltage, and available current before applying power. Do not connect the fan directly to a power source exceeding 8.4V.
