Pinion size is the single easiest gearing change you can make. This is one of the taller options in the range, chosen when top speed matters more than acceleration. Taller gearing puts more load on the motor and ESC, so it suits open ground and smooth surfaces rather than tight, stop-and-go bashing.

Important: Traxxas specifies this pinion for use with steel spur gears.

Fits: Traxxas XRT (78086-4) and XRT Ultimate (78097-4), and other Traxxas models using a 5mm motor shaft with 1.0 metric pitch gearing.

Monitor motor and ESC temperatures closely after fitting a taller pinion.
