Traxxas offers the medium GTX spring in ten rates so you can tune XRT suspension performance or compensate for a lighter or heavier vehicle setup. The higher the rate number, the firmer the spring. At 2.89 this is one of the softer options in the XRT range, third from the bottom.

A softer spring increases chassis roll and mechanical traction and is more forgiving over bumps and rough surfaces, but is more likely to bottom out on hard landings. A stiffer spring reduces roll and sharpens steering response.

Fits: Traxxas XRT (78086-4) and XRT Ultimate (78097-4).

Direct replacement for the factory spring and fits the stock GTX shocks with no modification.
