Kyosho IFW329 Rear Hard Shock Stay Inferno MP777

This is Kyosho's hard specification rear shock stay for the Inferno MP777, sold as an option part.

The shock stay is the tower the upper ends of both rear shocks bolt to, which makes it the anchor for the entire rear damping system. Its rigidity has a direct effect on how the shocks behave. A stay that flexes absorbs part of every damping input before it reaches the chassis, and worse, it can let the two shocks work at slightly different rates side to side, which makes the car feel inconsistent through corners in a way that is hard to diagnose.

The hard specification addresses exactly that, holding the shock mounting points solid so the rear suspension responds predictably and repeatably. The added stiffness also improves survival in the crashes that typically crack a rear tower, since it sits high on the chassis and takes direct hits in a rollover.

It also sets the upper shock mounting positions, which is what you move to change rear roll and how quickly the car reacts. Kyosho lists it for the Inferno MP777 WC Team Edition, Inferno VE and VE T2, and Inferno US Sports2.
