Kyosho SX051 Rear Roll Cage Scorpion XXL

This is the rear roll cage section for the Kyosho Scorpion XXL.

The Scorpion XXL runs an exposed tube roll cage rather than a conventional enclosed body, and that cage does real structural work. It protects the chassis, the electronics and the engine or motor when the car rolls, and on a 1/7 scale buggy a rollover carries a lot of energy. Without the cage absorbing that impact, the load goes straight into components that cost far more to replace.

The rear section in particular takes the hits from landing short off a jump and from backing into obstacles, both of which are common. Because it is the first thing to make contact, the cage is genuinely consumable: sections crack, mounting tabs tear, and a cage kept in service after damage stops spreading load properly, so the next roll does more harm than it should.

Kyosho supplies the cage in sections, which means you replace only the piece that broke rather than the whole assembly. This is the rear section, and the forward sections carry separate part numbers.
