Kyosho VZT001M 24mm Radial Tire Medium 2pcs

A pair of 24mm semi-slick radial tires in the medium compound, for Kyosho's 1/10 touring car platforms.

Tire compound is the single biggest performance variable on an on-road car, ahead of any suspension setting. A medium compound is the general purpose choice: it generates enough grip for most surfaces while lasting considerably longer than a soft, and it stays consistent as it heats up through a run rather than going away.

The semi-slick tread pattern sits between a full slick and a treaded tire. It gives most of the dry grip of a slick while retaining enough pattern to cope with dust or a slightly damp surface, which makes it a practical choice for club running where conditions are not controlled.

Compound choice is also a balance question rather than just a grip question. Running a softer compound at one end than the other shifts the car's balance, so many racers deliberately mix.

Kyosho lists these as an option tire for the V-One S range and the FW-05, with dealers extending to the TF-5 and TF-5 Stallion. Two are supplied. A soft compound is available separately.
