Powerhobby 540 5-Slot Brushed 16T Rock Crawler Motor
Description
The Powerhobby 540 5-Slot 16T Brushed Motor is designed to provide smooth, controlled power for compatible 1/10-scale RC rock crawlers and trail trucks.
Its five-slot armature delivers a smooth and predictable powerband for improved low-speed control when navigating steep climbs, rocks, and uneven terrain. High-purity copper windings help maximize efficiency, while strong magnets provide dependable torque and brushed-motor performance.
The motor also features oversized high-RPM bearings, a precision-balanced rotor, and direct-solder wiring tabs for flexible installation. The removable and replaceable rotor design allows easier maintenance and servicing.

- Pinion-gear bore and pitch
- Brushed ESC motor limit
- Battery voltage
- Gear ratio
- Available motor clearance
- Motor rotation direction
Installation Note
This motor requires a compatible brushed electronic speed control. Do not connect it to a brushless ESC unless the ESC is specifically designed to operate brushed motors.
The motor uses direct-solder tabs and does not include preinstalled motor connectors. Confirm correct wiring polarity before applying power. Reversing the motor wires will reverse its rotation direction.
Select a suitable pinion gear and monitor motor temperature during initial operation. Excessively tall gearing, drivetrain binding, or prolonged stalling can cause overheating and motor or ESC damage.
