Spring rate is how you tune the truck to your surface and setup. A softer spring increases chassis roll and mechanical traction and is more forgiving over rough ground but bottoms out more readily; a firmer one reduces roll and sharpens response at the cost of some traction. Changing rate is also how you compensate for a heavier battery or added aluminum parts.

Fits: Traxxas Maxx Slash (102076-4) and other models using GT-Maxx shocks.
